"So pretty! Yeah, I had trouble with it on patterend paper, but I love it on watercolor paper. I also found its better in the center rather than the edges of paper, spritzing and the heat tool, really warp the edges badly. Beautiful photos"
"I love the look of the Distress Oxide - need to get some to try them out! Great photos - Disney does a lovely job of having so many natural things to detract from the ugliness of asphalt and concrete!"
This was my first attempt at the Distress Oxide. I need to play with it more. ;-) I found a Sketch Savvy sketch and tweaked it a bit. Can't recall the number but it is such a help to have a sketch to start from. I hand printed the date at the bottom…
"I remember seeing this in the late 1970s...must have been a grad night for my high school. My favorite memory is when I took my #3 son there. He was 14 and NOT too cool nor too old to get excited about this parade. He was secretly…"
I did this layout for the 2017 August WG Sketch #2. I turned the sketch on its side. I used a Darice embossing sleeve to make the Lego like mini bricks and the green background paper. I got the mini Mickey punch at Disneyland years ago.
well I think it looks good and didn't notice it needing a flower, but when you mentioned it, all of a sudden, I thought - ok yes, another flower. LOL! I usually try to have sets of odd numbers in flowers but for some reason I always feel like they have to be varied in size too.
oh thank you so much! I had wanted to go eat there but just hadn't made the time. Dh and the boys are meat eaters but I am a veggie person. I love that it rotates like that and now I must go eat there. I had no idea!
Oh you have to be kidding! I just love it - I would never think of lanterns and they are great. I have enjoyed that sketch and I wanted to use it again, but the lanterns give me a bit of extra incentive.
Here is the link for the mulberry flowers, they ship to the US http://www.iamroses.com/ if you go on to youtube and key this in also there is lots of hints and tips on how to use them, have just ordered some from a uk supplier they are useful when doing the CCG challenges or just to fill in gaps in your layouts, if you need any more info let me know x
hey - thats a great tip! Thanks. I don't know when I will get back out to DLR but I am seriously considering a 3 day weekend trip sometime in the next year or so. My biggest problem is that I don't have someone to watch my kitties. I'm not really ready to let my son take care of them and the house for very long so a week at WDW is out of the question right now - not to mention the cost, but DLR would be much easier for a small getaway
Hi Wendy, sounds like fun tonight, when I upload I go to my page, then scroll down until you see add pics then it is just the same as CCG website, I haven't linked to a challenge yet but I think you would just tag it at the bottom, they all come up under photos anyway, hope this helps, speak to you soon x
So you joined ok and found out lots of info, sounds like Merrick has filled you in on what you need to know, let me know if I can help with anything, soooo looking forward to seeing some of your layouts on here, take care, byeee Doreen x
