This was the last time we were to ride Soarin', as it flew over California. At the time, I had the idea to die cut the shape of California for the page, since the ride would be soaring over the globe in the future. I had debated cutting strips of paper for the state shape, but then decided on stitching with embroidery floss. Some Shimelle papers that I never thought I would use, a vellum die cut from Elle's Studio, and the page was done! I will miss the soar over California, the smell of the oranges, and giving a "whoop whoop" every time we soared over San Diego (dork!). Very happy with this page.

WOWZERS!!! Now THAT is awesome how you stitched the state of CA! Those papers are perfect for this! I'm going to have to see if I have those clouds cuz now I want to do a Soarin page just like it!
