In April of 2006 a new attraction was announced for the Animal Kingdom --  a "Broadway caliber short form" musical based on the Pixar hit Finding Nemo. This was the fist time Disney took a non-musical film and recreated it as a musical. The puppets for the show were created by Michale Curry who worked on the puppets for the Broadway musical The Lion King. Robert Lopez, writer of the music of Avenue Q and the Book of Mormon, contributed the AMAZING songs to the show (plus he wrote the songs for the Wonder Pets!)

The show is in the " Theater of the Wild" at Animal Kingdom  -- former home of Tarzan Rocks. It's a 40 minute show on a beautiful stage decorated with bubble themes to create the underwater theme.

The Crush puppet in the show is approximately the size of a VW Bug and the Nigel the Pelican is 22 feet tall!
